Dear Parents,

When our children are young, it's essential that we do everything we can to help them navigate the internet safely while still getting the most out of it. At Esports Players Club, we're committed to playing our part in this endeavor by introducing Be Internet Awesome, a comprehensive program adapted into an internet safety class series for both kids and parents to take together. Developed in partnership with Google, educators, researchers, and online safety experts at The Net Safety Collaborative and iKeepSafe.org, this series aims to help students and their parents learn how to:

• Think critically and evaluate digital content, apps, and websites.
• Protect themselves from online threats, including bullying and scams.
• Share information responsibly, understanding when and how to share, as well as with whom.
• Be kind and respectful towards others online, while also respecting their privacy.
• Know when to ask for help from a parent or another trusted adult.

The program is designed to be age-appropriate and engaging, with a focus on five key lessons: Share with Care, Don't Fall for Fake, Secure Your Secrets, It's Cool to Be Kind, and When in Doubt, Talk It Out.

We believe that this program will play an important role in our mission to ensure that all of our members and students at Esports Players Club are learning, exploring, and staying safe online, both inside and outside of our walls. We're excited to share this new program with you and your child, and who knows, you may even pick up a few privacy and security tips yourself!
